The Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to conduct Ukraine counter offensive operation, with the following success for the past day, June 18, 2023.

More than 4 companies of Russian invaders were destroyed in a day on the Taurian direction*

Oleksandr Tarnavskyi, the commander of the operational and strategic group of troops “Tavria”, announced this.

“In the Tavria direction, missile and artillery units of the Defense Forces performed 1,829 fire missions during the day,” the report said.

Also, the Armed Forces destroyed and damaged 77 units of the enemy’s military equipment.

Yesterday, Deputy Minister of Defense Volodymyr Havrylov in his comment said, that “Ukraine intercepts the initiative – russia defends itself, but to build-up, we need weapons with a range of up to 200 km.”

“All our military plans are implemented according to estimates. The main thing in modern warfare is to possess the situation in order to know the enemy’s position and be able to carry out high-precision strikes over long distances. That is, to have weapons capable of hitting the enemy at a range of up to 200 km,” said the deputy minister.

He also added that Ukraine is on the way to receiving aircraft that will primarily defend our skies from Russian ballistic and other missiles, protect civilians and civilian infrastructure.

“More than a year of war has passed and we are confident that we will defeat the Russian invaders, together with our partners who provide us with everything we need,” concluded Volodymyr Havrylov.

It is also known that today russian forces withdraw the settlement of P’yatikhatki in Zaporizhzhia region.
