Ukraine counter offensive: official digest. June 9, 2023

The situation is tense on all areas of the front.

East is the epicenter of russian – ukraine warfare.

The enemy continues to focus its main efforts on the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Marin directions, heavy fighting continues. In all directions, the enemy carries out airstrikes and carries out artillery and mortar attacks. However, the enemy does not succeed in achieving his goals.

The armed forces of Ukraine are conducting active combat operations in the Bakhmut district of the Donetsk region. Offensive operations are currently underway. The occupying troops of the russian army went on the defensive.

This is reported by the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense and the General Staff. In particular, Deputy Minister of Defense Hanna Malyar reported that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are conducting active operations in the Bakhmut area, as well as the commander of the Ground Forces Oleksandr Syrskyi said that the operations of Ukrainian forces in the Bakhmut direction continue, and russian troops are defending themselves there.

The spokesman of the Eastern Group of Forces, Colonel Serhiy Cherevaty, tased that for the past day, June 9, russian and Ukrainian troops fought 15 battles near Bakhmut.

It is reported that the Armed Forces of Ukraine conducted assault operations near Dubovo-Vasylivka. Also, the Ukrainian General Staff stated that the army of the aggressor country conducted unsuccessful offensive actions in the vicinity of Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Bohdanivka, Ivanivskyi, Bila Hora and Stupochki.

East

In the Bakhmut direction, the enemy is withdrawing reserves and trying to hold the occupied positions. Makes attempts to attack, but fails. Now our defenders are conducting active combat operations in several areas of the Bakhmut direction.

South
The enemy is conducting defensive operations in the Zaporozhye direction. Positional battles continue.

It is also know, that just during this morning the following russian forces position were hit by the Armed Forces of Ukraine fire:

• occupierd Makiivka, Donetsk Oblast,
• occupied Henichensk, Kherson Oblast,
• occupied Simferopol, Crimea,
• Voronezh region, russia,
• Bilgorod region, russia,
