Russian command sent exchanged prisoners into a suicide attack to punish them for surrendering

An interesting case occurred in the Pokrovsk direction. A unit of Russian assault troops advanced in a full-frontal attack across open terrain towards a Ukrainian strongpoint, and soldiers of the 110th Mechanized Brigade eliminated all the attackers as if in a shooting range.

When collecting the documents of the killed soldiers, Ukrainian intelligence was surprised—they discovered that these Russians had previously been prisoners, captured by the 110th Mechanized Brigade, and had been sent back to Russia in a prisoner exchange!

Mikhail Vladimirovich Surikov, born in 1974 from Tatarstan, was captured by the soldiers of the 110th Brigade near Avdiivka on November 18, 2023.

Alexander Nikolayevich Tyumin, born in 1976 from Noginsk, Moscow region, was also captured near Avdiivka on October 16, 2023.

Judging by the personal papers of Surikov and Tyumin, the entire group likely consisted of exchanged prisoners. The other killed soldiers had no personal documents or papers on them.

According to the papers, Surikov and Tyumin had served in the 114th Motorized Rifle Brigade of the Russian Armed Forces. After their surrender, they spent about eight months in a Ukrainian colony, were returned to Russia, spent several months in a filtration camp, and were then sent back to serve in the 114th Brigade. Upon their return, they were immediately placed in a penal unit for assault operations. The entire squad of former prisoners was sent into a frontal attack across completely open ground, and none of them returned.

It is clear that the Russian command does not trust soldiers who surrendered and sends them into attacks to ensure they never return. In Russia, there is no one to stand up for them. Putin is waging war to the last Russian.
