There won’t be any “favorable” deals for Ukraine anytime soon

1. There won’t be any “favorable” deals for Ukraine anytime soon. There will be no ceasefire in the coming days or weeks. Not even in the coming months. What there will be is an attempt to screw us over — to settle backroom deals between the U.S. and Russia at our expense. They’re simply trying to betray us in classic gangster fashion.

2. Any deal on resources without security guarantees is not about us. It’s about securing a share for the U.S. in the event of Ukraine’s dismemberment. So that after Ukraine is destroyed, the U.S. gets a piece. Just in case.

Because the Russians always betray everyone.

Trump doesn’t care where the front line ends up — whether it’s along the Dnipro or the Vistula.

3. The United States is not our ally or partner. Right now, the U.S. is a partner of the aggressor.

Hopefully, only temporarily. And we have no influence over that — just as we have no influence over the fact that NATO, as an organization and the shield of Europe, is essentially in a coma, on life support.
But a new defense alliance in Europe will emerge.

4. Europe is on our side and remains our ally. Europe — especially Eastern Europe and the Baltics — understands the risks.

Favorable conditions for us won’t come from Trump. He is dependent on Putin.

What creates favorable conditions for us is: the resilience of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the sanctions that work (and they do work and will continue to fight.

5. Only Europe’s support. Russia’s economy is crippled. And with each passing month, its condition worsens.

But we must hold on through every one of those months.

And that ability to hold on — perhaps that’s the one thing we truly know how to do well.
Because we’ve already seen worse.

6. We’ve already seen worse in our lifetime. And complete uncertainty. The U.S. attitude might change. Or maybe it won’t. But there’s no way to turn everything back and restore the previous state of U.S. relations with the world. No one believes the U.S. anymore, and no one will trust it.

7. But neither sanctions nor Russia’s economy have any effect on each of us. Nor do Trump’s statements or those of other Putin lackeys.

8. So we return to our own affairs. To what we can influence, and to what affects us.

The only thing that has practical meaning for all of us right now is the resilience of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

It’s all simple, really.
