Putin: We want guarantees that during the 30-day ceasefire Ukraine will not mobilize, train or receive weapons
We want guarantees that during the 30-day ceasefire Ukraine will not mobilize, train or receive weapons. And we support it, but there are nuances — what exactly are they?
First, what will we do with this area in Kalinina, Kursk region? If we cease hostilities for 30 days, does that mean everyone there will leave without a fight? Are we supposed to let them go after they have committed numerous crimes against civilians? Or will the Ukrainian leadership order them to lay down their arms — just surrender as prisoners? How will this be handled? It’s unclear.
And what about other issues? Along the entire line of contact — nearly 2,000 km — Russian forces are advancing on almost every front. There, too, conditions are being created for us to encircle and blockade entire, rather large units. So how will these 30 days be used?
Will it be a time for Ukraine to continue forced mobilization? To bring in more weapons? To train newly mobilized units? Or will none of this happen? If not, then the question arises — how will control and verification be ensured? How can we be guaranteed that none of this will take place? How will monitoring be organized?
