Ukraine Government approved gas and electricity prices increase

The Cabinet of the Ministers of Ukraine approved the increase in gas and electricity prices for the population, polygraf reports.


On July 11, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved the Forecast of Economic and Social Development for 2019-2021.
Head of the Ministry of Economic Development Stepan Kubiv said that in 2019 GDP growth will remain at the level of 3%.
In addition, the document provides for an increase in energy prices for the population.
The Ministry of Economic Development offers an 18% increase in gas tariffs in 2018, 5-8%, in 2019 and 14% in 2020.
Until the end of 2018, electricity prices are not going to be raised. But from 2019 to 2021, they will annually grow by 25%.
