The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine has issued a démarche to the countries whose representatives attended the military parade in Moscow.
“Amid Russian aggression, mass killings of Ukrainians, strikes on civilian infrastructure, war crimes, and crimes against humanity, Ukraine regards the presence of senior officials from foreign countries at the parade of the aggressor state as an unfriendly step,” emphasized First Deputy Minister Serhiy Kyslytsya.
He noted that Russia is not even adhering to the so-called “parade” ceasefire it announced itself, continuing daily attacks on Ukrainian positions along the entire front line.
“The presence of senior officials from a number of states at events organized by the Kremlin has nothing to do with honoring the memory of the victims and heroes of World War II. In fact, it is a desecration of that memory, and a show of support for modern aggression in Europe – Russia’s war of conquest against Ukraine,” the MFA stressed.
