The 12th night attack on Kyiv in May: all russian drones intercepted

After midnight on May 20, 2023, the Russian occupiers attacked Ukraine from the north with 18 Shahed-136/131 attack drones, which were directed to the Kyiv oblasts.

All of them were destroyed by the forces and means of the Air Command “Center” of the Air Force.
Also, at the end of the day on May 19, in the eastern direction in the area of responsibility of the Air Command “East”, two attack drones of the “Shahed” type were destroyed, and in the southern direction in the area of responsibility of the Air Command “South”, the reconnaissance UAV “Merlin-VR” was destroyed.

During the past and current day, the tactical aircraft of the Air Force carried out up to 30 sorties for fire damage and fighter air cover.

Strikes on Kyiv are not allowed, – the Kyiv City Military Administration told about the consequences of another attack by russian shahed drones.

Serhii Popko, the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, reported the consequences of falling debris on the territory of Kyiv:

a residential building caught fire in the Dnipro district, the fire was extinguished, there were no victims;
in Darnytsia district, service station buildings and parked cars were damaged;
in the Pechersk district, the windows of a residential building were damaged;
in the Solomyan district, the road surface and motor vehicles were damaged.

According to Popko, information about the victims has not yet been received.

To remind, a few days ago Kyiv suffered one of the most intensive missile attack since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion, but russian ‘unstoppable’ Kinzhal missile were shot down again.
