A brief overview of enemy activity during the last week, May 1-8, 2023:

• The night of Sunday to  the morning of Monday began with missile strike. The enemy used strategic aircraft (Tu-95) to strike the territory of Ukraine from the Caspian Sea region. 15 out of 18 cruise missiles were successfully destroyed by air defense forces.

• Almost every evening, the enemy used various types of drones from the south-eastern and northern directions in order to exhaust the means of air defense.

• During the week, the Ruscists significantly intensified aerial reconnaissance in the eastern and southern regions. A significant number of reconnaissance UAVs are spotted every day.

• On the night of Saturday to Sunday, the enemy used the long-range aviation (Tu-22m3) to launch missile strikes on Mykolaiv and Kherson regions.

• On the night of Sunday to Monday, russian forces staged the most massive attack with kamikaze drones, – the mayor of Kyiv. All 30 of 30 russian shahed drone aimed at the capital were destroyed by air defense forces. “However, debris from several drones damaged some social facilities and a residential high-rise building in the Svyatoshyn district. Fortunately, there were no casualties,” noted the city mayor Vitaliy Klitschko. According to him, the city authorities will provide the necessary assistance to the victims and promptly restore the damaged housing.

Besides Kyiv, the south oblast of Odesa came under massive Kh-22 missile attack from the russian strategic TU-22 bombers. 1 victim. many damages.
