Is the President Zelenskyy planning to end the war in Ukraine by autumn?

At the ongoing Ramstein meeting, President V.olodymyr Zelenskyy has urged partners to do everything to ensure that this autumn marks the end of Russian aggression and undeclared war against Ukraine and the restoration of the global security order. It’s a promising call.

There’s no doubt that most Ukrainian citizens are ready to welcome a cessation or suspension of hostilities on acceptable terms before winter begins.

Otherwise, this winter could be extremely harsh.

But on what grounds are such calls being made? There are only two options.

Either powerful global players have already reached an agreement, and President Zelenskyy knows about it.

In that case, Ukrainians need to be informed about such agreements, which are crucial for Ukraine, including the conditions for a cessation of hostilities.

Or there are no agreements, and Volodymyr Oleksandrovych is simply expressing his personal wish (hope, dream, fantasy – underline as needed) that everything will end before the change of leadership in the White House.

Then why provoke Ukrainians with another hint at the unattainable?

Additionally, our president is conventionally demanding that partners provide Ukraine with all “long-range capabilities.”

It’s interesting to consider what our government will say if these permissions are granted but have little impact on the situation at the front and the intensity of enemy missile attacks on Ukraine.

Will new, more pressing problems and demands emerge that overshadow the current ones?
