Ukraine’s Government provides about $85,700 financial support to the families of 24 Ukrainian sailors kidnapped by Russian military forces near the Kerch Strait in November 25, 2018.
This was the initiative of the Ministry for Temporarily Occupied Territories and Internally Displaced Persons, as a result of which the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine passed Resolution No 1006 on December 5 to support kidnapped sailors’ families.
Each of the 24 family has already recaived the amount of UAH 100,000 (equivalent of about $3,600), the Minister Vadym Chernysh admits.
