A brief meeting between Zelenskyy, Starmer, and Macron took place in Paris
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and the leaders of the UK and France – Keir Starmer and Emmanuel Macron – held their first talks ahead of the “Coalition of the Willing” meeting.
This was reported by Sky News, as cited by European Pravda.
On Thursday, March 27, Macron, Zelenskyy, and Starmer held a brief meeting at the Élysée Palace before broader negotiations set to take place later.
As known, Starmer and Macron are jointly leading today’s “Coalition of the Willing” meeting.
As known, the so-called “Coalition of the Willing,” led by France and the UK, has been working for several weeks on a plan to deploy thousands of troops to Ukraine to ensure a future “ceasefire.”
According to Reuters sources in European diplomatic circles, doubts are growing in Europe about the feasibility of this option due to logistical challenges, a shortage of troops, Russian opposition, and the lack of U.S. security guarantees.
On March 26, Macron clarified that the idea of a Western contingent in Ukraine, promoted by Paris and London, does not involve deployment directly on the front line.
