15th russian massive attack on Kyiv in May

From 00:00 a.m. to 05:00 a.m. on May 29, 2023, Russian occupiers attacked military facilities and critical infrastructure facilities of Ukraine with cruise missiles and iranian shahed attack drones.

This time, the russian occupiers launched up to 40 X-101/X-555 air-based cruise missiles from nine Tu-95ms strategic aircraft from the Caspian Sea area.

From the northern and southern directions, the enemy attacked with Iranian drones of “Shahed-136/131” type. About 35 strike drones in total.

During the night, Ukrainian air defense worked in the areas of responsibility of all air commands of the Air Force: “Center”, “East”, “South” and “West”.

67 air targets were destroyed by the forces and means of air commands in cooperation with the air defense of other components of the Defense Forces of Ukraine:

– 37 Kh-101/Kh-555 cruise missiles;
– 29 “Shahed-136/131” attack UAVs;
– 1 operational-tactical reconnaissance UAV.

This was reported by the Command of the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Earlier, the mayor of Kyiv Vitaliy Klychko reported that the debris caused destruction and fire in the Podilskyi and Svyatoshynskyi districts of the capital. Before that, it was reported about the explosion in the Holosiivskyi district and the downing of a rocket near Kyiv.

The head of the police of the Kyiv region, Andrii Nebytov, spoke about the consequences of the night attack in the Kyiv region

“Thanks to the Air Defense Forces, almost all enemy targets were destroyed. As a result of the attack, we have damage to residential buildings and infrastructure facilities in several districts of the region,” he said.

There are no dead or injured.

Meantime, there are worried news from the Khmelnytskyi Oblast. During the last night, May 29, 2023 russian missiles hit several objects there, including military.

At the moment, work on localization of fires in fuel and lubricant warehouses and storage of combat material assets is ongoing. 5 aircraft were disabled.
Restoration work of the runway has begun. Data on the victims are being clarified.
