Scooter’s vocalist was fired from the German talent show jury for visiting Crimea

Germany is looking for a superstar because of the scandal with a visit to Crimea, NV reports.

The vocalist of the German group Scooter, H.P. Baxxter, was fired from the show’s jury.
The Ukrainian Ambassador to Germany Andriy Melnyk, wrote about this on his Twitter page.
“We celebrate the pop-political victory in Germany!” After our protest, the Crimean voyager H.P. Baxxter from Scooter flew out of the jury,” – the ambassador wrote. The singer himself has not yet commented on the situation.
Let’s recall that the scandal around the musicians flared in early August in Germany, when the band announced their desire to perform at the festival in Balaclava Valley. Despite the scandal and warnings from the prosecutor’s office of Ukraine, the group all the same flew to the occupied Crimea, thus violating Ukrainian legislation.
In response, the Prosecutor’s Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea opened criminal proceedings against musicians. The actions of the Germans were qualified according to Art. 332-1 (violation of the order of entry into the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine and departure from it) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
In addition, the Ukrainian ambassador to Germany called for the dismissal of H.P. Baxxter from a talent show.
