About 1.5 thousand of foreign citizens are banned from entering Ukraine due to illegal visits to the occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, including more than 100 artists and cultural figures, according to the State Border Service of Ukraine.
According to the press service of the State Border Service, only from the beginning of 2018 more than 30 persons who visited the occupied Crimea despite the established procedure have been identified.
Also, at the present time, according to monitoring results, more than 810 people have been identified, who may have been at the temporarily occupied territory of the Crimea.
“We note that during 2017 almost 2.3 thousand administrative protocols were created in accordance with section 204-2 of the Code of Administrative Violations of Ukraine for violating the order of entry and exit from the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine,” message says.
The State Border Service of Ukraine draws attention of both Ukrainian citizens and other states that the violation of the order of entry to the territory of the occupied Crimea through the checkpoints closed by the Government of Ukraine, as appropriate, carries the criminal (Article 321-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) and administrative (art. 204-1 and Article 204-2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses) responsibility.
