NSC news & analysis center briefing at 12:30 June 23, 2015: highlights

News & Analysis Center of the National Security Council of Ukraine presents the latest updates from the conflict zone in eastern Ukraine on June 23, 2015 at its daily briefing.

(1) Mariupol direction: situation bacame calm, the militants violated ceasefire regime only once over the last 24 hours. In the meantime, relocation of heavy weaponry by the enemy’s forces was spotted in the area;

(2) Donetsk direction: active comabats continued in the area of Donetsk airport round-the-clock. Combas continued at the villages of Pysky and Opytne. Militants fired at the residential settlements, i.e. Yasnobrodyvka with forbidden 122-mm self-propelled howitzers, Lozove with forbidden 152-mm self-propelled howitzers, and heavy shelling was also spotted around the whole perimeter of the town of Horlivka;

(3) Luhansk direction: combats intensified along the whole frontline, militants fired at the villages of Troytske, Zolote, Novotashkyvske. The village of Nyzhnye, which is located 10 km far from the frontline, was also shelled with MLRS Grad. The militants shelled from cannons the settlements of Pervomaysk, Slovyanoserbsk and Vesela Hora;

(4) 1 Ukrainian soldiers was killed and 12 wounded over the last 24 hours;
