Ukrainian defenders break out of Russian encirclement in Donetsk region

Ukrainian soldiers of the 31st Brigade managed to break out of the encirclement near the village of Prohres in Donetsk region.

“Around 14:00 on July 25, 2024, as predicted, a number of observation posts of the 1st and 3rd battalions were completely surrounded. The brigade commander did not give the order to break through, so the personnel in the area made him realize that the guys would have to fight their way through.

With the help of coordinated actions of artillery, aerial reconnaissance and related forces, as well as under the control of officers on the ground, the guys from the 1st and 3rd battalions were able to break out of the encirclement in full force,” the analysts said.

“This case should serve as a reminder for many commanders not to neglect their personnel and to trust the non-commissioned and commissioned officers who are on the front line,” DeepState noted.
