Ukrainian Cyborg released from 4-months captivity

The famous Ukrainian Cyborg and commander of the 90th battalion, 81th brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Oleh Kuzmynykh, who was being held captive by Russian proxies, was released yesterday at 21:58 p.m., according to President Poroshenko’s Facebook page.

Today, Kuzmynykh arrived in Kyiv and finally met with his family for the first time in four months. He also attended a special meeting with President Poroshenko and was awarded a medal “For Courage”.

President Poroshenko stressed that the Ukrainian hero was not exchanged, but released by Russian proxies.

Kuzmynykh was captured on January 20, 2015, while defending the Donetsk airport from Russian occupiers.
