Ukraine war updates: daily briefings as of June 11, 2016

Ukraine war updates from the war zone in southeast Ukraine as of June 11, 2016 by ATO HQ operational data and Presidential Administration spokesman on ATO issues briefing: EMPR highlights.

(1) Russian armed forces continue ceasefire violations in southeast Ukraine, they opened fire 47 times upon Ukrainian troops positions over the last day, including  4 times on Luhansk direction, 12 times on Donetsk direction and  31 times on Mariupol direction;
(2) Luhansk direction: Ukrainian positions near Stanytsya Luganska, Novozvanyvka, Zhovta and Novooleksandryvka came under Russian fire from large-caliber machine guns and grenades of different systems; in addition, Russian sniper fire reported in the village of Novooleksandryvka;
(3) Donetsk direction: situation remains tense; Russian armed forces and their proxies continue firing at Ukrainian troops positions from the heavy weaponry; in particular, Ukrainian forces have been shelled by Russian forces from the forbidden 122-mm cannons as well as mortars and grenades of different calibers; the hottest spot reported in Novgorodske (on the west from occupied Horlivka), where Russian troops released 27 artillery shells and 45 large-caliber mines and opened fire from grenades and small arms; another hot spots were Svitlodarsk, where Russian forces used APCs fire, and north and suburb of Horlivka;
On June 9, Ukrainian military truck hit a mine near the village of Slavne (Maryinka district), which resulted in death of 1 Ukrainian serviceman, and 7 more servicemen were wounded;
Today, after the midnight, Russian armed forces opened fire at the residential areas of Toretske from forbidden by the Minsk agreement 152-mm artillery, which resulted damages of 7 residential houses, but there are no casualties among civilians;
(4) Mariupol direction: the epicenter of Russian firefights was in Krasnogorivka, where the enemy released 50 mortar mines and 15 artillery shells, as well as used tank and armed vehicles; Russian forces fulfilled a series of shelling at Maryinka without heavy arms, but used sniper fire; in addition, Russian armed provocation took place in Novotroytske (with active use of mortar launchers), Talamchuk, Talakivka and Shyrokino;  to this end, half of Russian shelling on this direction fulfilled from heavy arms (mortars, artillery and armored vehicles);
(5) Russian forces’ losses in the war zone for the last day are as follows: 3 killed and 6 wounded (in the area of Maryinka and Horlivka);
(6) Russia supplies its armed forces and proxies in southeast Ukraine with arms, in particular: 5 Russian trucks with ammunition for tanks and 152-mm GRADs arrived to Sverdlovsk; Russian echelons with 6 tanks, 4 APCs, 3 152-mm  self-propelled artillery 2S3 Akatsiya, 4 tanks of 200 tonnes of fuel and lubricants, and wagons with 160 tons of ammunitions arrived to Khartsyzsk railway station; to this end, 300 tonnes of fuel and lubricants arrived to Rovenky railway hub;
(7) 1 Ukrainian serviceman killed in action, 2 Ukrainian servicemen were wounded in action and 1 more hit a mine in southeast Ukraine  over the last 24 hours; in addition, 1 Ukrainian serviceman died and 7 more wounded as Ukrainian military truck hit a mine in Slavne; to this end, total Ukrainian forces loses are as follows: 2 killed and 10 wounded;
