Ukraine war updates: daily briefings as of June 1, 2016

Ukraine war updates from the war zone in southeast Ukraine as of June 1, 2016 by ATO HQ operational data and Presidential Administration spokesman on ATO issues briefing: EMPR highlights.

(1) Russian armed forces and their proxies continue Minsk agreement violations in the war zone in southeast Ukraine by shelling 31 times upon Ukrainian troops positions over the last day, including  2 times on Luhansk direction, 15 times on Donetsk direction and 14 times on Mariupol direction;

(2) Luhansk direction: Russian forces open fire upon Ukrainian troops positions near Stanytsya Luganska;

(3) Donetsk direction: Luhanske, Novoselyvka Druga, Avdiivka and Opytne were the hotters sports on this direction over the last day; Russian armed forces continue hold forbidden by the Minsk argeements mortars, tanks, self-propelled artillery, MLRS BM-21 Grads near contact line in Horlivka, Makiivka, Donetsk and Yakovlivka; Russian forces used small arms,
automatic of easel grenade launchers and 82-mm mortars against Ukrainian servicemen on south of Avdiivka; 28 mines from 82-mm mortars have been released by the enemy upon Ukrainian positions near Opytne; small arms, automatic grenade lanchers and sniper fire were used by Russian forces near Novgorodske; and finally, the enemy used grenade launchers of different calibers as well as 82-mm mortar fire near Luhanske;

(4) Mariupol direction: firefights reported all across the frontline from Krasnogorivka to Shyrokino; the situation remains calm in Dokuchaevsk area only; Russian forces fired with forbidden 120-mm mortars upon Ukrainian troops positions in Pavlopol, while near Shyrokino they fired from grenade launchers of different calivers and 82-mm mortars upon Ukrainian positions; the enemy shelled Ukrainian positions near Talakivka with automatic grenade launchers; Ukrainian fortifications near Novotroytske were shelled from Russian easel anti-tank grenade launchers; to this end, 5 mortar heavy shellings fulfilled by the Russian forces on this direction over the last day;

(5) 2 Russian UAVs spotted over the sky on the territory of southeast Ukraine during the last day;

(6) Russian forces losses in Donbass war over the last day are as follows: 1 killed and 8 wounded;

(7) 1 Ukrainian serviceman killed in action and 3 servicemen wounded in action in southeast Ukraine over the last 24 hours (in the area of Zaytseve and Avdiivka).
