Ukraine war updates on February 17, 2016 by the Presidential Administration spokeman on ATO issues daily briefing: EMPR highlights

(1) Situation in the war zone in eastern Ukraine became worser; the enemy continue to fired upon Ukrainian forces positions with the use of heavy arms and MLRS BM-21 Grad;

(2) Luhansk direction: The enemy violated ceasefire regime twice near the village of Krymske with the use of mortars and launchers; Another mortar shelling took place near occupied Pervomaisk; Finally, Ukrainian intelligence services reports that Russian armed forces fired upon residential areas of Luhansk yesterday;

(3) Donetsk direction: situation escalated dramatically in the area of Donetsk airport, where the enemy fired with mortars and MLRS BM-21 Grads 20 times; Meanwhile, situation around Svytlodarska line and near Horlyvka shelling without the use of hard arms took place yesterday;

(4) Mariupol direction: the enemy’s shellings continued around Maryinka and Krasnogoryvka yesterday; Russian militants used heavy arms Occasionally; intensive shellings took place on the south direction from Chermalyk and Lebedynske to Shyrokino;

(5) Russia does not stop supply its allies in eastern Ukraine with arms and military equipment;

(6) No lethal casualties among Ukrainian serviceman reported over the last 24 hours, no KIA, but 1 Ukrainian serviceman WIA near Opytne.
