Ukraine Armed Forces start training with Javelin missile complex

The Armed forces of Ukraine start training of operators of the U.S. portable antitank missile complex Javelin.


It is reported that the practical training will be held abroad. The preparation of candidates started on January 15, 2018, on the base of Hetman Sagaydachny National Academy of Ground Forces for language training. It was done to obtain the required level of English language. It is also reported that after the language training, selected candidates will go abroad to study the combat use of Javelin anti-tank missile systems.
To remind, in December 2017, the U.S. President Donald Trump approved the sale of lethal weapons to Ukraine. The General Staff of Ukraine believes the procedure for the transfer of the mentioned complexes will take up to a year.
