The Ukrainian Defense Forces have successfully struck a military airfield and air defense systems of the Russian occupiers
According to The General Staff of Ukraine, during the last night the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck the Lipetsk airfield (Lipetsk region, Russia). During the attack, facilities storing guided aerial bombs and several other objects in the airfield area were hit. Several sources of fire were observed, a strong blaze erupted, and multiple detonations were noted. It is known that the Lipetsk airfield hosts Su-34, Su-35, and MiG-31 aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces. The results of the strike are being assessed.
In addition, our units targeted Russian anti-aircraft missile divisions in the temporarily occupied territory of Donetsk region. Specifically, combat operations were conducted against three enemy radars: two from S-350 systems and one from S-300. Accurate hits and the destruction of one S-350 radar have been confirmed. Information regarding the other two targets is still being verified. At the same time, the operation of all three enemy radars has ceased following the strikes.
The combat operations involved missile troops, Special Operations Forces, the Security Service of Ukraine, and the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ unmanned systems.
Joint combat operations by all components of the Defense Forces against key targets of the Russian armed forces will continue.
