“Schemes” has obtained satellite images that reveal large-scale smoke on the territory of military unit No. 11777, responsible for the depot of the Main Missile and Artillery Directorate of Russia’s Ministry of Defense.
Russian media reported a massive drone attack on the town of Toropets in the Tver region of Russia during the night. Local authorities even decided to evacuate the population from areas where air defense was active, and a fire broke out.
Local authorities claimed that the fire was caused by “falling UAV debris.”
Later, a source from Radio Liberty in the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) reported that the warehouse was attacked by drones from the SBU, the Main Intelligence Directorate (HUR), and Special Operations Forces (SSO). The source also mentioned that the depot stored missiles for the “Iskander” and “Tochka-U” systems, as well as guided aerial bombs (KABs).
This depot was built in 2018. At the time, the Russian Ministry of Defense stated that the arsenal met the highest global standards, with each storage facility capable of holding up to 240 tons of ammunition.
