Russia – Ukraine war updates: daily briefings as of September 30, 2017

Russia – Ukraine war updates from the war zone in southeast Ukraine as of  September 30, 2017 by ATO HQ operational data and Presidential Administration spokesman on ATO issues briefing: EMPR highlights.

(1) Russian hybrid forces violated ceasefire regime 16 times in the war zone in eastern Ukraine over the last 24 hours and released against Ukrainian troops in totoal 70 mines and 20 tank rounds; in particular, the enemy fired 2 times on Luhansk direction, 5 times on Donetsk direction and 9 times on Mariupol direction;

(2) Luhansk direction: Russian proxies fired from anti-tank grenade launcher as well as released 8 mines of forbidden 82-mm caliber upon Ukrainian troops positions in Novotoshkivske; another Russian attack reported in Krymske;

(3) Donetsk direction: Russian troops dramatically intensified activities and launched a series of powerfull attacks on Avdiivka – Butovka mine area with the use of forbidden mortars as well as tanks fire and released about 80 mines upon Ukrainian troops positions there; another Russian armed provocations took place in Kamyanka and Pisky;

(4) Mariupol direction: Russian occupiers fulfilled mortar attacks near Vodyane; another Russian attacks with the use of grenade launchers and machine guns reported in Berezove; besides, the enemy’s shelling with high caliber machine guns took place near Pavlopil and Talakivka;

(5) No lethal casualties reported, but 4 Ukrainian servicemen were wounded in action in the war zone in eastern Ukraine over the last 24 hours.
