Russia – Ukraine war updates: daily briefings as of September 2, 2017

Russia – Ukraine war updates from the war zone in southeast Ukraine as of  September 1, 2017 by ATO HQ operational data and Presidential Administration spokesman on ATO issues briefing: EMPR highlights.

(1) Russian hybrid forces launched 20 attacks against Ukrainian troops in the war zone in eastern Ukraine over the last 24 hours, including firing 4 times on Luhansk direction, 14 times on Donetsk direction and 2 times on Mariupol direction;

(2) Luhansk direction: Russian troops fired with grenade launchers and small arms at Krymske, Lobacheve and Stanytsya Luhanska;

(3) Donetsk direction: RAvdiivka and its suburbs remain as the hottest spots on this direction; Russian occupiers systematically violated ceasefire regime by shelling with small arms upon Ukrainian troops positions there; the anamy also fired round the clock upon Ukrainian positions in Zaytseve and Mayorsk;

(4) Mariupol direction: Russian forces used small arms during shelling at Ukrainian troops positions near Vodyane;

(5) No lethal casualties reported among Ukrainian servicemen in the war zone in eastern Ukraine for the past day.
