Russia – Ukraine war updates: daily briefings as of September 19, 2017

Russia – Ukraine war updates from the war zone in southeast Ukraine as of  September 19, 2017 by ATO HQ operational data and Presidential Administration spokesman on ATO issues briefing: EMPR highlights.

(1) Russian hybrid forces decresed activities and violated ceasefire regime 14 times in the war zone in eastern Ukraine over the past 24 hours, including 1 time on Luhansk direction, 9 times on Donetsk direction and 4 times on Mariupol direction;

(2) Luhansk direction: Russian occupiers shelled upon Ukrainian troops positions near Novotoshkivske;

(3) Donetsk direction: Russian forces activities concentrated near Horlivka, where they launched attacks against Ukrainian troops with the use of mortar launchers and armored vehicles; Avdiivka industrial area remain the hottest spot, where the enemy continue shelling from different types of grenade launchers as well as high caliber machine guns and small arms toward Ukrainian troops positions; Russian occupiers also released 7 mines of forbidden 82-mm caliber near Pisky; to this end, the enemy’s APCs fire reported near Zaytseve;

(4) Mariupol direction: Novomyhaylovka, Vodyane and Shyrokino reported as the hottest spots on this direction; in particular, Russian occupiers fired with forbidden 82-mm mortar launchers and high caliber machine guns at Shyrokino suburbs;

(5) No lethal casualties reported among Ukrainian troops, but 3 Ukrainian servicemen were wounded in action in the war zone in eastern Ukraine for the last 24 hours.
