Russia – Ukraine war updates from the war zone in southeast Ukraine as of  March 9, 2018 by ATO HQ operational data and Ministry of Defence spokesman on ATO issues: EMPR highlights.

(1) Russian hybrid forces launched 3 attacks against Ukrainian troops in the war zone in eastern Ukraine over the last 24 hours.

(2) Luhansk direction: Russian proxies fired with high caliber machine guns and grenade launchers upon Ukrainian positions in Luhanske 2 times during the day.

(3) Donetsk direction: Russian occupiers launched 30-min long attack with 82-mm mortar launchers and released 15 mines upon Ukrainian troops positions in Pisky.

(4) 1 Ukrainian serviceman was killed in action for the past day.
