Russia – Ukraine war updates: daily briefings as of July 13, 2017

Russia – Ukraine war updates from the war zone in southeast Ukraine as of July 13, 2017 by ATO HQ operational data and Presidential Administration spokesman on ATO issues briefing: EMPR highlights.


(1) Russian hybrid forces fulfilled 30 attacks against Ukrainian troops in the war zone in eastern Ukraine over the last 24 hours, including 8 times on Luhansk direction, 12 times on Donetsk direction and 10 times on Mariupol direction;
(2) Luhansk direction: Russian forces fulfilled a series attacks with the use of high-caliber machine guns and small arms upon Ukrainian positions in Krymske; the enemy shelled 3 times with mortar launchers at Stanytsya Luhanska and released 5 mines upon Ukrainian troops there; to this end, Russian armed provocations took place in Novozvanivka;
(3) Donetsk direction: Svitlodarska line reported as a hottest spot on this direction, where Russian occipiers fulfilled 20-min-long shelling from tanks and released 12 mines toward Ukrainian positions; the enemy was also active in Troytske, where opened fire from mortar launchers and armored vehicles and small arms; Zaytseve and Verkhnyotoretske reported as another hot spots, where Russian proxies used APCs’s fire against Ukrainian troops; Russian grenade launcher attack was reported at Butovka mine; Russian occupiers also fired with hand-grenade launchers and small arms upon Ukrainian positions in Avdiivka;
(4) Mariupol direction: Russian forces shelled at residential areas of Maryinka and destroyed seversl houses; occupiers also fired with machine guns in Krasnogorivka; Novomykhaylivka also camer under Russian fire, where the enemy fulfilled 1,5-hours-long shelling upon Ukrainian troops positions and released 10 mortar mines; another Russian shelling took place in Berezove; to this end, enemy’s shellings of half an hour each took place in Pavlopil, Gnutove, Talakivka and Vodyane;
(5) Unfortunately, 1 Ukrainian serviceman was killed in action and 1 serviceman was wounded in action in the war zone in eastern Ukraine over the past 24 hours.
