Russia – Ukraine war updates: daily briefings as of February 3, 2018

Russia – Ukraine war updates from the war zone in southeast Ukraine as of  February 3, 2018 by ATO HQ operational data and Ministry of Defence spokesman on ATO issues: EMPR highlights.


(1) Russian hybrid forces fired 4 times in the war zone in eastern Ukraine over the past day. In particular, the enemy released 18 mortar mines of forbidden 82-mm caliber upon Ukrainain troops positions.
(2) Donetsk direction: Russian proxies shelled with grenade launchers and released 4 mortar mines of 82-mm caliner upon Ukrainian troops positions in Lebedynske during 4o minutes. The enemy fired with 82-mm mortars and released 7 mines upon Ukrainian troops near Pavlopil. The hottest spot reported in Avdiivka, where Russian occupiers launched 4 hours long attack with grenade launchers, high caliber machine guns as well as other small arms and released 7 mortar mines of 82-mm caliber upon Ukrainian troops positions.
(3) 1 Ukrainian serviceman hit a mine (February 2,2018) and 3 servicemen were wounded in action (in the area of Avdiivka) during the past 24 hours.

  • Denying you ground by use of mines, a horrible way to have a war. Mines are banned by civilized people. Cowards, scum. Fight if you don't want ceasefire then its honest. Only scum would blow limbs off civilians, children, grandpa.
