Russia – Ukraine war updates: daily briefings as of February 18, 2018

Russia – Ukraine war updates from the war zone in southeast Ukraine as of  February 18, 2018 by ATO HQ operational data and Ministry of Defence spokesman on ATO issues: EMPR highlights.

(1) Russian hybrid forces launched 12 attacks in the war zone in eastern Ukraine over the past day. The enemy used forbidden high caliber artillery systems, tansk and heavy mortars against Ukrainian troops.

(2) Luhansk direction: Svitlodarska line became the hottest spot on this direction. The settlements of Luhanske, Troytske and Lozove came under heavy mortar and APCs Russian fire. Besides mention, Russian proxies fired with 122-mm artillery near Luhanske, grenade luanchers near Mayorsk and mortars, grenade launchers and small arms near Krymske.

(3) Donetsk direction: Russian occupiers launched attacks with tanks and mortar launchers of different calibers near Pisky.

(4) No lethal casualties reported among Ukrainian servicemen, but  1 serviceman was wounded in action for the last 24 hours.
