Russia – Ukraine war updates: daily briefings as of February 1, 2018

Russia – Ukraine war updates from the war zone in southeast Ukraine as of  February 1, 2018 by ATO HQ operational data and Ministry of Defence spokesman on ATO issues: EMPR highlights.

(1) Russian hybrid forces has launched 1 attack in the war zone in eastern Ukraine over the last 24 hours.

(2) Luhansk direction: Russian proxies fired with the small arms upon Ukrainian troops positions in Stanytsya Luhanska. The enemy luanched 2-hours-long attack with mortar launchers and APCs fire in Novooleksandrivka and released 10 mines of 82-mm caliber upon Ukrainian troops there. To this end, Russian forces shelling with 120-mm mortars reported in the residential areas of Krymske.

(3) Donetsk direction: Russian sniper fire reported near Pavlopil. The enemy’s shelling with high caliber machine guns and small arms took place in the outskirts of Avdiivka.

(4) 1 Ukrainian serviceman was killed in action (in the area of Avdiivka) and 2 more servicemen were wounded in actions for the past day.
