Russia – Ukraine war updates from the war zone in southeast Ukraine as of  December 17, 2017 by ATO HQ operational data and Ministry of Defence spokesman on ATO issues: EMPR highlights.



(1) Russian hybrid forces continue the Minsk agreements violation as have fired with hard weaponry 14 times the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the war zone in eastern Ukraine in the past 24 hours; Ukrainian forces returned fire in 7 cases;
(2) Luhansk direction: Svitlodarska lane remains the hottest spot on this direction; the enemy fired with hard 152-mm artillery, mortar and grenade launchers, machine guns upon Ukrainian troops positions around Luganske; Russian occupiers shelling with 120-mm mortar launchers reported in Zaytseve and Travneve;
(3) Donetsk and Mariupol directions: Russian forces fired with 120-mm mortars upon Ukrainian troops in Lebedynske and Pavlopol; Russian proxies sheeling with the use of APCs fire reported in Hnutove; the enemy launched attacks with all types of infantry weaponry near Kamyanka;
(4)  3 Ukrainian soldiers were killed in actions in the war zone in eastern Ukraine over the last 24 hours. We express our condolences to the relatives & warriors who gave their lives for Ukraine.
