Russia – Ukraine war updates from the war zone in southeast Ukraine as of  August 31, 2017 by ATO HQ operational data and Presidential Administration spokesman on ATO issues briefing: EMPR highlights.

(1) Russian hybrid forces launched 19 attacks against Ukrainian troops in the war zone in eastern Ukraine over the last 24 hours, including 10 on Donetsk direction and 9 on Mariupol direction;

(2) Luhansk direction: No ceasefire regime violations reported on this direction;

(3) Donetsk direction: Russian forces attacks with the use of grenade launchers reported in Avdiivka industrial area and Butovka mine and the enemy released 3 mines of forbidden caliber upon Ukrainian positions there; Russian proxies fired with high caliber machine guns, APCs and small arms upon Ukrainian troops positions in Kamyanka and Zaytseve;

(4) Mariupol direction: Russian occupiers 3 times shelled with high caliber machine guns at Ukrainian positions in the Vodyane surburbs; released 4 mortar mines upon Ukrainian troops in Lebedynske;

(5) No lethal casualties reported among Ukrainian servicemen in the war zone in eastern Ukraine for the past day.
