Russia – Ukraine war updates from the war zone in southeast Ukraine as of  August 3, 2017 by ATO HQ operational data and Presidential Administration spokesman on ATO issues briefing: EMPR highlights.

(1) Russian hybrid forces increased numebr of attacks and opened fire 30 times upon Ukrainian troops posirions in the war zone in eastern Ukraine during the last 24 hours, including 10 times on Luhansk direction, 11 times on Donetsk direction and 9 times on Mariupol direction;

(2) Luhansk direction: The hottest spot reported in Troyitske, where Russian forces fulfilled 2 mortar shellings and released 30 mines upon Ukrainian troops positions; another Russian shellings reported in Krymske and Katerynivka; Russian occupiers fired with grenade launchers at Novozvanivka and Novooleksandrivka;

(3) Donetsk direction: Russian troops concentrated attacks on Kamyanka – Avdiivka – Butovka mine front line; the enemy also fired with mortar launchers upon Ukrainian troops positions in Luhanske;

(4) Mariupol direction: Russian hybrid forces fulfilled attacks with forbidden hard weaponry, i.e. 122-mm artillery upon Ukrainian positions in Lebedynske and Vodyane; in addition, the enemy shelled with small arms in Pavlopol and Shyrokino; to this end, Russian troops opened mortar fire upon residential areas of Vodyane;

(5) No lethal casualties as well as no wounded in actions reported among Ukrainian servicemen in the war zone in eastern Ukraine over the last 24 hours.
