Russia – Ukraine war updates from the war zone in southeast Ukraine as of  August 26, 2017 by ATO HQ operational data and Presidential Administration spokesman on ATO issues briefing: EMPR highlights.

(1) Russian hybrid forces launched 18 attacks against Ukrainian troops in the war zone in eastern Ukraine over the last 24 hours;

(2) Luhansk direction: Russian forces once violated ceasefire regime on this direction by launching attack at Malynove;

(3) Donetsk direction: Russian troops during several hours shelling upon Ukrainian troops positions in Avdiivka industrial area actively used grenade launchers, machine guns, small arms and released 10 mortar mines of the forbidden 122-mm caliber; and Butovka mine areas with the use of small arms; another hot spot on this direction is Butovka mine area;

(4) Mariupol direction: Russian occupiers provocations with the use of small arms took place in Hnutove, Talakivka, Pavlopol, Lebedynske, Shyrokino and Chermalyk;

(5) No lethal casualties reported among Ukrainian servicemen, but 2 servicemen were wounded in actions in the war zone in eastern Ukraine for the last 24 hours.
