Russia – Ukraine war updates: daily briefings as of August 13, 2017

Russia – Ukraine war updates from the war zone in southeast Ukraine as of  August 13, 2017 by ATO HQ operational data and Presidential Administration spokesman on ATO issues briefing: EMPR highlights.

(1) Russian hybrid forces launched 17 attacks against Ukrainian troops over the last 24 hours;

(2) Luhansk direction: Russian occupiers actively used machine guns during shelling at Krymske suburbs; the enemy fired with forbidden 82-mm mortar launchers upon Ukrainian positions in Novotoshkivske, Novooleksandrivka and Kateynivka; Russian forces also actively used mortar launchers of different systems near Troytske;

(3) Donetsk direction: Russian proxies fired with grenade launchers upon Ukrainian positions in Opytne; the enemy also fulfilled attacks with the use of APCs around Butovka mine;

(4) Mariupol direction: Russian troops shelling with grenade launchers and high caliber machine guns reported near Vodyane; the enemy used forbidden 120-mm mortar launchers fire against Ukrainian troops in Novotroytske;

(5) 1 Ukrainian serviceman was killed in action and 6 Ukrainian servicemen were wounded in actions in the war zone in eastern Ukraine over the past 24 hours.
