The operational update of the General Staff of Ukraine for the last 24 hours of Russia – Ukraine war as of 6:00 a.m., March 6, 2023.

376 day of the russian large-scale invasion has begun.

The russian Federation focuses its main efforts on conducting offensive actions in the Kupyan, Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Shakhtarsk directions. Last day, our soldiers repelled more than 95 russian attacks in the indicated directions, in particular, in the areas of Belogorivka and Nevsky in the Luhansk Oblast and Zaliznyansky, Dubovo-Vasylivka, Orihovo-Vasylivka, Bakhmut and Ivanivskyi in Donetsk oblast.

The enemy continues to violate the norms of International Humanitarian Law, continues to strike, carry out artillery attacks on civilian objects and houses of the civilian population, and tries to destroy the critical infrastructure of our country.

During the past day, the russian forces launched 27 air strikes and 4 missile strikes. They carried out more than 70 attacks from rocket salvo systems. The threat of further missile strikes by russia is highly probable throughout the territory of Ukraine.

The formation of enemy offensive groups was not detected in the Volyn, Poliske, Siversk and Slobozhansk directions. During the day, the occupiers fired mortars and artillery at the settlements of Iskriskivshchyna and Volfyne in the Sumy Oblast and Budarka, Veterinarne, Vilkhuvatka, Strelecha, Krasne, Ternova and Ohirtseve in the Kharkiv Oblast.

On the Kupyansk and Lymansk directions, the enemy carried out artillery shelling of the districts of Dvorichna, Hryanikyvka, Masyutivka and Pishchane settlements of the Kharkiv Oblast; Kuzemivka, Bilogorivka, Nevske, Chervonopivka and Serebryansk forestry in Luhansk Oblast and Terna, Spirne and Rozdolivka in Donetsk oblast.

In the direction of Bakhmut, the enemy does not stop trying to storm the city of Bakhmut and surrounding settlements. Shelled Zaliznyanske, Dubovo-Vasylivka, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Bakhmut, Ivanovske, Bohdanivka, Chasiv Yar, Kurdyumivka, Klishchiivka, Shiroka Balka, Ozaryanivka, Druzhba, Hryhorivka, Mayorsk and New York of the Donetsk oblast.

In the Avdiivka and Shakhtarsk directions, the occupiers carried out unsuccessful offensive actions in the direction of Krasnohorivka, Kamianka, Severna, Pobieda and Marinka settlements of the Donetsk oblast. Areas of 21 settlements were subjected to enemy shelling. Among them are Vesele, Avdiivka, Vodyane, Berdychi, Pervomaiske, Krasnohorivka and Vugledar.

The enemy is defending in the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, in some areas, he is trying to create conditions for the transition to the offensive. More than 40 settlements were affected by the fire, in particular, Novosilka and Vremivka of the Donetsk oblast; Zaliznychne, Gulyaipole and Kamianske in Zaporizhzhia, as well as Vesele, Beryslav, Chornobayivka, Antonivka in the Kherson Oblast and the city of Kherson. There are civilian casualties and damage to civilian infrastructure.

In order to mislead the Defense Forces of Ukraine, the enemy is maneuvering, moving columns in the areas of settlements Nova Kakhovka (Kherson Oblast) – Armyansk (temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea). These actions cause discontent among the personnel of the russian occupation forces. The main reason is the lack of sufficient fuel and even a hint of the effectiveness of such maneuvers.

In the city of Volnovakha, Donetsk oblast, the invaders set up a base for the restoration of damaged equipment on the funds of the local vocational technical school. Students are forcibly involved in repair work.

Last day, the Ukrainian aviation carried out 12 strikes on the concentration areas of the occupiers, and units of missile forces and artillery hit 3 control points, 4 concentration areas and 1 position of the enemy’s air defense means.
