Russia – Ukraine war operational update of the General Staff of Ukraine for the last 24 hours of Russia – Ukraine war as of 6:00 a.m., June 17, 2023.

During the past day, the enemy launched another missile attack on the Kyiv region – using 6 Kh-47 “Kinzhal” aeroballistic missiles and 6 “Calibre” cruise missiles. All 12 missiles were destroyed by the forces and means of air defense of the Air Force and Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In addition, during the day, the enemy carried out 33 airstrikes and launched 59 attacks from rocket salvo systems. Unfortunately, in addition to the destruction of infrastructure, civilians suffered.

The probability of launching missile and air strikes on the entire territory of Ukraine remains very high.

The enemy is concentrating its main efforts on the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Mariinka directions – 36 combat clashes took place last day.

In the Volyn and Poliske directions, the operational situation has not changed significantly.

In the Siverskyi and Slobozhanskyi directions, the enemy carried out airstrikes during the day on the settlements of Mogrytsia in the Sumy Region and Budarka in the Kharkiv Region. He carried out mortar and artillery shelling of the settlements of Leonivka, Kostobobriv and Gremyach of the Chernihiv region; Znob-Trubchevska, Chuykivka, Sosnivka, Starykove, Boyaro-Lezhachi, Stari Virky, Basivka, Stepok, Krasnopillya, Velika Pisarivka of the Sumy region, as well as Udy, Chervona Zorya, Hlyboke, Liptsi, Zelene, Ternova, Okhirtseve, Vovchansk, Vovchanski Khutory, Bochkove and Mala Vovcha in Kharkiv Oblast.

In the Kupyansk direction, Kamianka, Krasne Pershe, Figolivka, Novomlynsk, Dvorichna, Zapadne, Kislivka in the Kharkiv region and Novoselivske in the Luhansk region came under enemy artillery and mortar fire.

In the Lyman direction, the enemy launched an air strike in the area of Spirny. Stelmakhivka, Nevske and Bilogorivka in Luhansk region and Torske, Verkhnyokamianske, Spirne and Serebryanka in Donetsk region were subjected to artillery shelling.

In the direction of Bakhmut, the enemy carried out airstrikes in the areas of Bela Hora and New York of the Donetsk region. Vasyukivka, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Bohdanivka, Khromove, Chasiv Yar, Ivanivske, Ozaryanivka, Bila Gora, Kostyantynivka and Pivdenne were affected by enemy artillery shelling.

In the Avdiivka direction, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive actions in the areas of Stepovoy and Avdiivka. An airstrike was carried out near the latter. He also carried out artillery shelling of Vesely and Karlivka in the Donetsk region.

In the Mariinka direction, during the past day, our defenders repelled all enemy attacks in the area of the city of Marinka. The enemy launched airstrikes in Maryinka and Pobyeda districts. At the same time, he carried out artillery shelling of the settlements of Krasnohorivka, Georgiivka, Maryinka, Maksimilianivka and Kostyantynivka in the Donetsk region.

In the direction of Shakhtarsk, the enemy carried out offensive actions in the direction of Novomykhailivka and Vodyanyi, Donetsk region, without success. He carried out airstrikes in the areas of Prechistivka, Zolotaya Niva and Blagodatny. He shelled the settlements of Vugledar, Vremivka, Storozheve, Novosilka and Novopil of the Donetsk region.

The enemy is defending in the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions. Shelled Olgivske, Poltavka, Gulyaipole, Zaliznychne, Gulyaipilske, Charivne, Biloghirya, Novodanilivka, Novoandriivka, Mali Shcherbaki, Kamianske of the Zaporizhzhia region; Zmiivka, Shlyakhove, Beryslav, Kozatsk, Inzhenerne, Zelenivka, Sadov, Antonivka, Bilozerka, Dniprovske, Kizomys of the Kherson region and the city of Kherson.

The enemy continues to suffer heavy losses, which he tries to hide in every way. In particular, the command of the occupiers established a new procedure for the treatment of wounded Russian servicemen, according to which only officers are subject to evacuation to the Russian Federation. Sergeants and privates, regardless of the severity and complexity of the injury, are subject to treatment in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. To ensure the implementation of this decision, the invaders increase the number of beds in the places they use as military hospitals.

Aviation of the Defense Forces per day struck 17 strikes on enemy personnel concentration areas. Also, our soldiers destroyed an enemy Ka-52 attack helicopter and 7 reconnaissance UAVs of operational-tactical level.

During the day, units of missile forces and artillery hit the control post, 3 areas of concentration of enemy personnel, 5 artillery units in firing positions, 4 electronic warfare stations and 2 more important enemy objects.
