Russia – Ukraine war updates as of February 7, 2023

The operational update of the General Staff of Ukraine for the last 24 hours of Russia – Ukraine war as of 6:00 a.m., February 7, 2023.

Day 349 of the full-scale russian war against Ukraine has started.

During the past day, the russian forces launched 6 missile and 24 air strikes. It carried out 75 attacks from MLRS, in particular, on civilian objects in the Kharkiv, Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk and Kherson Oblasts, there are victims among the civilian population.

The threat of further russian air and missile strikes on the entire territory of Ukraine remains high.

The enemy continues to regroup on separate directions. It concentrates main efforts on conducting offensive operations in the Kup’yan’sk, Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Novopavlivka directions.

Over the past day, units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine repelled russian attacks in the areas of Novoselivske, Kreminna and Dibrova settlements of Luhansk Oblast and Verkhnyokamianske, Vesele, Zaliznyanske, Krasna Gora, Bakhmut, Ivanivske and Paraskoviivka of Donetsk Oblast.

Volyn’, Polissya, Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna directions: no russian offensive groups were detected. At the same time, the areas of Popivka and Oleksandrivka settlements of Sumy Oblast and Strilecha, Glyboke, Krasne, Gatyshche, Vovchansk and Dvorichna settlements of Kharkiv Oblast were shelled by the russian fire.

Kup’yans’k direction: the russian forces shelled the areas of Ivanivka, Kucherivka, Kyslivka, and Kotlyarivka in Kharkiv Oblast, as well as Novoselivske and Stelmakhivka in Luhansk Oblast, with tanks, mortars, and artillery.

Lyman direction: Terny in the Donetsk Oblast and Ploshanka, Chervonopivka, Kreminna and Dibrova in the Luhansk Oblast were affected by fire.

Bakhmut direction: Spirne, Berestove, Bilogorivka, Krasna Gora, Bakhmut, Klishchiivka, Kurdyumivka and Ozaryanivka came under enemy fire.

Avdiivka direction: Avdiivka, Pervomaiske, Nevelske, Krasnohorivka, Georgiivka, Mar’yanka, Pobyeda and Novomykhailivka were damaged by fire.

Novopavlivka direction: russian forces shelling reported in Vugledar, Prechystivka, Zolota Nyva, and Neskuchne in the Donetsk Oblast.

Zaporizhzhia direction: the areas of 23 settlements come under russian forces shelling, in particular, Novopil, Ol’hivs’ke, Gulyaipole, Charivne, Mala Tokmachka, Stepove in Zaporizhzhia, and Velikomykhailivka of the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast.

19 settlements have been hit by the russian mortar and artillery fire on the Kherson direction. Among them are Gola Prystan’, Zolota Balka, Kachkarivka, Mylove, Antonivka and Kherson.

The russian occupiers continue to suffer losses. To rehabilitate the wounded and using civilians as a shield, the enemy set up another military hospital in the Kherson Oblast. Servicemen of the armed forces of the russian federation were placed on the first floor of the Kayiry psychoneurological boarding house, and civilian patients were transferred to other floors. Medical equipment was seized and transported by the occupiers from the hospital of Velyka Lepetykha settlement.

During the day, the aviation of the Defense Forces launched 9 strikes on the areas of concentration of personnel and military equipment of the russian forces and 2 strikes on the positions of the russian anti-aircraft missile systems. Ukrainian missile and artillery units hit 8 areas where the russia’s manpower was concentrated.
