In the period from the evening of August 5 to the morning of August 6, 2023, the russian invaders launched a massive missile attack on the territory of Ukraine with air and sea-based missiles, as well as Iranian attack drones of the “Shahed” type.
In the first wave, on the evening of August 5, the enemy used 14 Kalibr sea-based cruise missiles and three Kh-47 Kinzhal aeroballistic missiles. 12 out of 14 Calibers were destroyed by anti-aircraft defense.
On the night of August 6, the russian occupiers continued to attack with Shahed drones from the southeast, “Kalibr” cruise missiles from the Black Sea area, and Kh-101/Kh-555 cruise missiles from TU-95MS strategic aircraft from the Caspian region .
Ukrainain defenders destroyed all 27 Shahed-136/131 drones, 5 out of 6 Kalibr missiles (second wave) and 13 out of 20 Kh-101/Kh555 air-based cruise missiles.
In total, in several waves of russian air attacks, from the evening of August 5 to the morning of August 6, 2023, the enemy used 70 means of air attack.
As a result, anti-aircraft defense destroyed:
17 Kalibr cruise missiles;
13 Kh-101/Kh-555 cruise missiles;
27 shock unmanned aerial vehicles of the “Shahed” type.
During the past day, the enemy launched 20 missile and 62 air strikes.The enemy used 4 Shahed drones – all were destroyed. Also, the occupiers fired 68 rocket salvo fire systems at the positions of our troops and populated areas. As a result of the Russian terrorist attacks, unfortunately, there are dead and wounded among the civilian population, residential buildings were destroyed.
The probability of further missile and air strikes on the entire territory of Ukraine remains high.
Over 30 combat clashes took place during the day.
In the Volyn and Poliske directions, the operational situation has not changed significantly.
In the Siverskyi and Slobozhanskyi directions, the enemy carried out airstrikes in the districts of Odnorobivka, Strelecha, Gatyshchi of the Kharkiv region.
The enemy carried out mortar and artillery shelling of more than 30 settlements, in particular Buchki, Gremyach, Vesele of Chernihiv region; Seredyna-Buda, Bobylivka, Studenok, Myropyllya, Grabovske in the Sumy region and Karaichne, Budarky and Zemlyanka in the Kharkiv region.
In the Kupyansk direction, our soldiers are firmly holding the defense, successfully repulsed enemy attacks in the Vilshanaya and Synkivka districts of the Kharkiv region. The enemy launched airstrikes near Kislivka and Krokhmalny. More than 10 settlements, including Figolivka, Dvorichna, Zapadne, Kupyansk, Kislivka, and Berestov of the Kharkiv region, were hit by enemy artillery and mortar fire.
In the Lyman direction, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive actions in the area of Belogorivka, Luhansk region. He carried out airstrikes in the Nevske and Bilogorivka districts of the Luhansk region and Torske, Serebryanka, Dibrova and Spirne in the Donetsk region. The settlements of Kuzmyne, Bilogorivka, Torske, Verkhnyokamianske, Spirne and Rozdolivka were hit by enemy artillery fire.
In the direction of Bakhmut, the defense forces are swarming the enemy in the area of Kurdyumivka. The enemy carried out airstrikes in the districts of Khromovo, Klishchiivka, Stupochky, Diliivka, Oleksandr-Shultyno, and New York of the Donetsk region. More than 15 settlements, including Tikhonivka, Chasiv Yar, Klishchiivka, Bila Gora, Predtechine, and Severnye of the Donetsk region, were affected by enemy artillery shelling.
In the Avdiivka direction, under heavy fire from the enemy’s aircraft and artillery, our defenders successfully repelled attacks by Russian troops in the Avdiivka area. He carried out airstrikes in the Novokalynovo district of the Donetsk region. More than 10 settlements, including Orlivka, Stepove, Avdiivka, Vodyane, Pervomaiske, and Nevelske of the Donetsk region, were hit by artillery fire.
In the Marinka direction, the defense forces continue to hold back the advance of russian troops in the Mariinka area. The enemy shelled more than 10 settlements, including Krasnohorivka, Maryiinka, Pobyeda, Gergiivka, Novomykhailivka, and Kostyantynivka in the Donetsk region.
In the Shakhtarsky direction, the enemy made unsuccessful attempts to restore the lost position in the Staromayorsky district. He carried out airstrikes in Pavlivka, Zolota Niva and Staromayorske districts of the Donetsk region. The settlements of Vugledar, Prechistivka, Zolota Niva, Blagodatne, Staromayorske in the Donetsk region and Levadne in Zaporizhzhia were subjected to artillery fire.
In the direction of Zaporizhahia, the enemy, carrying out air strikes, led unsuccessful offensive actions in the Robotyn area of the Zaporizhzhia region. The enemy is concentrating its main efforts on preventing the further advance of our troops. More than 15 settlements, including Shcherbaki, Mali Shcherbaki, Pyatikhatki, Stepnohirsk, and Chervonodniprovka of the Zaporizhia region, were hit by artillery fire.
In the Kherson direction, more than 20 settlements, including Ivanivka, Dniprovske, Bilozerka, Kizomys, Kherson of the Kherson region and Ochakiv of the Mykolaiv region, were hit by enemy artillery fire.
At the same time, the Defense Forces of Ukraine continue to conduct an offensive operation in the Melitopol and Berdyansk directions, are pinned down at the reached borders, carry out measures of counter-battery struggle.
Over the past day, the aviation of the defense forces has struck 7 areas where the enemy’s personnel are concentrated.
Over the past day, units of missile troops and artillery struck 2 control points, 5 areas of concentration of personnel, weapons and military equipment, 4 artillery pieces in firing positions, 5 ammunition warehouses and one radio-electronic warfare station of the occupiers.
In total, last day, our soldiers eliminated 590 Russian invaders. The enemy lost 5 tanks, 11 armored combat vehicles, 22 artillery systems, one anti-aircraft missile system, 10 operational-tactical level unmanned aerial vehicles, 12 cruise missiles, 19 vehicles and 4 units of special equipment.

The info you supplied in much detail that I didn't realize how many attacks, what weapons, missiles and drones were used. I read 2 Tweets daily of information from two other Ukrainian's but not in so much detail. Now I am wondering how many Americans are not reading your reports. They should be.
