Bus hits mine in Donetsk Region killing 4 civilians

March 25, around 7:00 p.m. bus on the route Artemivsk-Horlivka hit a mine near Artemivsk resulting in 4 persons killed, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in Donetsk Region Ilya Kiva reports on his Facebook page.

Passenger bus with civilians hit a roadside mine near Artemivsk, Donetsk Oblast. Immediately afterwards, ‘DPR’ gunmen opened mortar fire on the bus with passengers – Artemivsk residents.

In the result, 4 innocent civilians were killed and 19 wounded.

19 persons with injuries of various severity were transported to hospital in Artemivsk.

According to the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in Donetsk Region Ilya Kiva, driver of the bus sought to avoid the check-point and turned to dirt road where the bus tripped the mine.
The bus belonged to a private company registered in Horlivka.
