Odessa to host the 6th International Film Festival

10-18 July, Odessa will for the 6th time become a Mecca for film-lovers – beautiful Ukrainian city on the shore of the Black Sea, known for its deep cinematographic traditions, will host the Odessa International Film Festival.

In the framework of the International Competition, 12 film of the directors from USA, Britain, Israel, Turkey, Russia, Colombia, Croatia, Iran, France, Denmark and Ukraine will compete for OIFF Grand Prix, awarded by the audience, and other awards of the International Competition.

“We received 530 entries from 75 counties and after sleepless nights and contentious debate we have selected 12 films to participate in the International Competition”, the OIFF team says.

Ukrainian 6 feature films and 18 shorts will compete for the awards in the framework of the National Competition Programme.

As for the Jury of the International Competition OIFF-2015, the award-winners from OIFF-2015 official selection will be chosen by Polish producer Dariusz Jablonski, Serbian film director Srdjan Dragojevic and Ukraninan documentary filmmaker Sergiy Bukovsky. This male team will be headed by the Cannes-winning female director, screenwriter and producer from France – Jeanne Labrune.
