Event supporting Ukrainian political prisoners in Russia to take place in Odessa

Odessa activists invite to the event supporting Ukrainian citizens illegally kept by Russia on political grounds. It is not known for certain, how many Ukrainians were detained or kidnapped, but at least 13 Ukrainian citizens are currently kept behind bars in Russia and 7 more in occupied Crimea facing up to life imprisonment over trumped-up charges. The majority of them have been subjected to tortures with their basic human rights violated during pre-trial investigations and court hearings in Russia.

The activists in Odessa want to remind national and international community about Ukrainian citizens illegally detained and kidnapped by Russia, in particular, about Ukrainian filmmaker Oleg Sentsov who was convicted to 20 years in prison and conveyed to Yakutsk.
