Russian books import is banned in Ukraine

The import of Russian books promoting anti-Ukrainian policy is banned in Ukraine.

The State Committee for Television and Radio Broadcasting refused to issue permits for two companies to import books from Russia to Ukraine: the Moscow Kremlin and the Symphony of Darkness, the press service of the State Committee for Television and Radio Broadcasting said.
In particular, LLC “Jakab Trade” permission to import the book “Moscow Kremlin” by Elena Kachur (publisher – Mann, Ivanov and Ferber, Moscow) from the territory of the aggressor state in the number of 10 thousand copies was denied.
“Experts agreed that in Kachur’s book, designed for children’s readership, the signs of propaganda by the aggressor state about falsification of the history of Kievan Rus and non-recognition of the Ukrainian state is present,” the report said.
Also, permission is not given for LLC “Fors Ukrainy” to import Chingiz Abdullayev’s book Symphony of Darkness (publisher – LLC Eksmo Publishing House, Moscow) in the amount of 2 thousand copies.
In Abdullaev’s novel, under the guise of ideological discussions of the protagonists, the anti-Ukrainian policy of the aggressor state is promoted, aimed at eliminating Ukraine’s independence and justifying the Kremlin’s aggression, the State Committee for Television and Radio Broadcasting said.
