An international cinema festival for kids and teens is coming to Ukraine — where the screenings will take place

The annual international film festival for children and teenagers, “Children Kinofest,” will take place from June 13 to 22 in Kyiv and 11 other cities across Ukraine. Everyone interested can attend the events for free with prior registration. This was reported by the Kyiv City State Administration, citing the event organizers, as conveyed by “Dim.”

In addition to Kyiv, screenings will be held in cinemas in Lviv, Vinnytsia, Zhytomyr, Dnipro, Lutsk, Odesa, Poltava, Ternopil, Khmelnytskyi, Zaporizhzhia, and Chernihiv. This year, the festival will be held in two formats — online and offline.

Screenings in Kyiv will be held at the “Oscar” cinema.

“Children Kinofest” audiences will be introduced to both the newest European films and world cinema classics. The winning film will be chosen by the viewers themselves: each visitor will receive a ballot upon entering the cinema to rate the movies.

Organized groups of children with disabilities, those deprived of parental care, orphans, and internally displaced children are especially invited to attend the screenings.

In addition to organized groups, anyone interested can attend the film festival — with prior registration on the “Children Kinofest” website.
