“We all noticed Trump’s speechless reaction after Ukrainian drones struck Russian airbases and destroyed nuclear bombers,” the author of this post, Nadiya Palyvoda, quips.
So what’s the matter? Why so quiet? And this after all the big talk…
From our European partners, too, we’re not seeing much excitement. Sure, a few comments came from people who don’t really decide anything—like Boris Johnson—but overall, there’s a deep strategic silence.
One would think — why not celebrate? You were all so afraid of Russia’s nuclear weapons — well, we’ve just reduced by around 41 the number of aircraft capable of launching them. Including at you.
And judging by the mysterious explosions at the Severomorsk port, where Russia’s nuclear submarines are based, the day may not be far off when those clay legs of the nuclear Colossus buckle — thanks to Ukrainian ingenuity.
So the question is — why aren’t you happy that Ukraine has found a way to strike at the nuclear might you feared so much?
Today, The New York Times published an article that explains everything.
Turns out they’re all in deep shock — because everything’s collapsed. The military were the first to speak out.
“Ukraine has taken the war to a new level.”
“Operation Spiderweb showed that a $600 drone can destroy an aircraft worth over $100 million.”
And not just aircraft, as we well understand — anything, really.
“According to a representative of the defense ministry of a European NATO country, Ukraine’s strikes will clearly force allies to rethink the vulnerability of their military facilities.”
Exactly.
“The Ukrainians have shown that in just a few months, they can cheaply and effectively build something Western countries have failed to create over decades and with enormous budgets.”
Of course.
“We are gradually beginning to realize the threat drones pose to American military bases located in many countries and regions around the world.”
Well, there you go.
“These bases likely have no protection against short-range weapons, and the lesson from Ukraine’s attack is that a strike on major bases housing dozens of aircraft can happen at any moment.”
No way.
“Moreover, Donald Trump’s ‘Golden Dome’ project — a $175 billion initiative designed to protect the U.S. from all types of missiles, including through space-based systems — may turn out to be a colossal waste of money,” said General Ben Hodges, former commander of U.S. Army forces in Europe.
Yeah — one hit from a cheap FPV drone on your fancy space satellite, and that’s it.
And you know what, folks?
You brought this on yourselves.
It was your decision — to strip Ukraine of all its weapons, not just nuclear, but everything — and leave it bare and defenseless in the face of a deranged neighbor.
From the very beginning of Russia’s invasion, it was your decision—to give Ukraine as little weaponry as possible—while the Russians kept pounding us with every type of missile, bomb, and artillery shell they had. On the battlefield, the shell ratio stood at 1 to 10.
You saw all of this. And yet, you kept inventing lies, twisted phrases about “escalation” and “concerns”—anything, really—just to justify not giving Ukraine the weapons it needed. All because you didn’t want to anger the Russians.
It was your choice not to provide long-range weapons. And the entire world watched as Ukrainian cities were reduced to rubble, bled out day after day—more tragedies, more destroyed homes, more civilians killed.
You saw it all, and all you offered were words about “deep concern.”
Ukrainians begged you: Give us long-range weapons—so we can take out the airbases those bombers are launching from.
Ukrainian delegations came to you on special missions: Here’s the list, here’s—damn it—look! A map! A map showing the military bases we would strike with your rockets.
We weren’t asking to strike anything else. We didn’t care about the Kremlin—we just wanted Russia to stop killing our people.
But still, no. You refused.
Worse—you mocked us. You gave us long-range missiles, but didn’t allow us to use them to strike Russia.
After the strike on Ohmatdyt Children’s Hospital—when the internet was flooded with images of bloodied, wounded children and social media exploded with rage, demanding one clear thing: let Ukraine strike back—even then, you said no.
On July 8, the White House spokesperson, still under the Biden administration at the time, stepped out and said: “Our policy toward Ukraine has not changed.”
And now you’re surprised that Ukraine began developing drones. A lot of drones. That we started upgrading and perfecting them—not just to use them on the front line, but to reach deep into Russia, to the airbases where those damn bombers take off to kill Ukrainians.
Ukrainians have every right to destroy those airbases and those bombers. And we have no choice but to do so. It’s a matter of survival.
If Ukraine had an unlimited supply of long-range missiles, there would’ve been no need to develop Operation “ Spider Web.” It would’ve been striking Russian airbases with your own rockets.
But you didn’t give Ukraine those missiles. And, well—look how it turned out.
“Russian forces will draw their own conclusions and likely attempt similar operations in Ukraine—or even later against NATO countries,” say military analysts in The New York Times.
An Israeli defense expert calls June 1—the day of the operation—the beginning of a new era.
Because what Ukraine pulled off was so cheap, it’s now within reach of almost any terrorist organization. And believe me, they have no shortage of ideas on what to target in the West—in both the U.S. and Europe.
Anyone with basic technical skills and a 3D printer can build drones from off-the-shelf parts ordered on Amazon and coordinate a similar strike.
Now, the expert warns, Israel, the U.S., and Europe all have to completely rethink how they protect both civilian and military infrastructure.
Their massive systems and million-dollar defenses turn out to be worthless against drones that cost next to nothing.
There you have it.
As NAFO fighters say: dildo of consequenses barely comes lubricated.
Ukraine has changed the world—again.
