22 private houses were damaged in the village of Markhalivka, Fastiv community, and 39 more in Makariv, Bucha district.
A total of 115 private houses were damaged during the overnight Russian attack across the Bucha, Fastiv, and Bila Tserkva districts.
“Also targeted were food warehouses, educational institutions, garages, outbuildings, and even a bathhouse. These are the kinds of civilian objects hit by the enemy’s attack on the Kyiv region. Russia is waging war against the peaceful population, trying to destroy everything,” the head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration reported late Sunday evening.
He visited the affected settlements in Bila Tserkva, Bucha, and Fastiv districts.
KOVA head Mykola Kalashnyk shared on his Facebook page what he saw in Markhalivka, Kyiv region, on Sunday after the shelling.
“22 private houses—most of them destroyed. It’s painful to see: ruined homes, shattered yards, frightened but resilient people,” Kalashnyk wrote.
Mykola Kalashnyk wrote that he spoke with local residents. The main priority is to help people as quickly as possible.
“The grief they’ve had to endure is beyond words. But despite everything—we stand strong. We support each other. And that is our strength.”
Teams from DTEK Kyiv Regional Power Grids have begun restoring electricity supply.
In Makariv, 39 private houses were damaged or destroyed.
“We are setting up two SES tents here, where people can receive food and other assistance. Necessary construction materials have already been allocated from the material reserve fund,” Kalashnyk reported.
Charitable foundations “Hansen Mission in Ukraine,” “ROKADA,” and GEM have joined the effort to provide building materials to those affected.
Additionally, the “Hansen Mission in Ukraine” has already organized accommodation in the “Hansen Wonder Town” for families whose homes were destroyed.
Builders, together with homeowners, are carrying out urgent repairs to protect the houses from the elements.
A commission is working on site to assess the degree of damage to houses for inclusion in the damaged property registry.
I confirmed that all services are involved, and our partners’ assistance is, as always, timely.
“We must work in coordination so that people can receive compensation for destroyed or damaged property. The evil Russia brings to our land will not go unpunished. We will rebuild everything that was destroyed. No one will be left alone to face their misfortune,” said Mykola Kalashnyk.
