The operational update of the General Staff of Ukraine for the last 24 hours of Russia – Ukraine war as of 6:00 a.m., March 10, 2023.
380 day of the russian large-scale invasion has begun.
Yesterday, the Russian Federation launched another massive missile attack on the critical infrastructure of our country and the homes of the civilian population. The russian aggressor does not give up his intentions regarding the occupation of Ukraine. The enemy continues to use terror tactics, thereby grossly violating the norms of International Humanitarian Law.
In total, during the past day, the russians launched 95 missiles of various bases. 34 missiles were destroyed by our defenders. The enemy also carried out 31 air strikes, in particular, used 8 Shahed-136 type BpLA, half of which were shot down. Fired 65 rounds from multiple rocket launchers.
The level of missile threat remains high throughout the territory of Ukraine.
The enemy does not stop trying to surround the city of Bakhmut. The main efforts are focused on conducting offensive operations in the Kupyan, Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Shakhtar directions. For the past day, Ukrainian soldiers repulsed 102 attacks by the invaders.
On the Volyn, Poliske, Siversk and Slobozhansk directions, the operational situation has not changed significantly. The russian Federation maintains a military presence on the territory of the Republic of Belarus, but the formation of offensive groups has not been detected. At the same time, the enemy continues engineering equipment in the border areas of the Kursk region. During the past day, the enemy shelled Yelina in the Chernihiv Oblast with artillery; Seredyna-Buda and Atynske – Sumy and Kozach Lopan, Strelecha, Krasne, Vovchansk and Bologivka in Kharkiv Oblast.
The enemy is trying to improve the tactical position on the Kupyansk and Lymansk directions. Shelled, in particular, Novomlynsk, Dvorichna, Hryanikyvka, Zapadne, Kislivka, Krokhmalne and Berestov in Kharkiv Oblast; Nevsky, Dibrova and Chervonopivka in Luhansk Oblast.
In the direction of Bakhmut, the enemy does not stop the assault on the city of Bakhmut. Our defenders repelled numerous attacks in Zaliznyansky, Orihovo-Vasylivka, Dubovo-Vasylivka, Bakhmut, and Ivanivsky districts. Vasyukivka, Zaliznyanske, Minkivka, Dubovo-Vasylivka, Bohdanivka, Bakhmut, Kurdyumivka, Ozaryanivka, and Mayorsk came under enemy fire.
On the Avdiyivka and Shakhtarsky directions, the enemy carried out unsuccessful offensive actions near the settlements of Krasnohorivka, Kamianka, Vodyane, Severne, Pervomaiske, Nevelske, Maryinka, Pobyeda, Novomykhailivka, and Vugledar of the Donetsk oblast. Avdiivka, Vodyane, Pervomaiske, Georgiivka, Nevelske, Krasnohorivka, Pobyeda, Vugledar, Prechistivka and Neskuchne came under enemy fire.
The occupiers are defending themselves in the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions. Areas of Vremivka, Novosilka and Novopil settlements of Donetsk region were shelled; Gulyaipole, Zaliznychne, Gulyaipilske, Biloghirya, Mala Tokmachka, Novodanilivka, Novoandriivka and Kamianske – Zaporizhia, as well as Mykhailivka and Kherson.
Once again, the russian invaders, in order to discredit the Defense Forces of Ukraine, are committing criminal acts in the temporarily captured territories of the Kherson region. This time, residents of the city of Oleshka came under mortar fire from the occupiers.
In Rubizhny, Luhansk Oblast, the enemy places personnel in residential quarters, hiding behind the civilian population. Military personnel of the occupying forces are housed on the first and second floors, and civilians are left to live above.
Over the past 24 hours, the Air Force of the Defense Forces has carried out 13 strikes on areas of concentration of personnel and military equipment of the occupiers, as well as a strike on an anti-aircraft missile complex at a firing position.
At the same time, units of missile troops and artillery struck the control post, 6 areas of concentration of enemy personnel, 2 logistics centers, 3 ammunition depots, 6 radio electronic warfare stations and 2 air defense vehicles in the firing position.
