Russian President Vladimir Putin made from bullet shells

A 7-foot-tall portrait of Russian President Vladimir Putin made from bullet shells, CNN reports.

The shells are all from the 2014 Ukrainian revolution known as the Maidan (/Euromaidan), one of the bloodiest European warfare since the early 190s.

Depending on how the light hits the portrait, Putin appears as a menacing presence or a tired, sad man. “Art is based on the question of which kind of character in history this person would like to be. You’ll see dictatorship, an iron man or a scared boy” – one of two Ukrainian artists who created the portrait Daria Marchenko says.
The portrait, known as “The Face of War,” is the signature piece of the “Five Elements of War” exhibition at the Ukrainian Institute of America in New York.
